Valentines By Kids.Org (“VBK”) is a one-person operation run by me, Patrick Roy Kaufmann, a high-school student. Sometimes, my family and  friends help out.  VBK collects no money (except for the generous donations to cover postage, printing, and web services from the Kyle Todd Public Service Foundation and the Worldwide Small Change Foundation).  VBK does not sell any information and the only information it “collects” is what is necessary to deliver Valentine’s day envelopes to schools and organizations, and to pick up and deliver the Valentines to charities.   For example, if a charity or hospital asks for Valentine’s Day cards for its patients or staff, we ask for the shipping address.  Our website, hosted on Bluehost, might collect some analytic data including whether you are using a tablet or desktop to format the screens.

Privacy Policy – The Details

VBK is committed to protecting your privacy and developing technology that gives you the most powerful and safe online experience. This Statement of Privacy applies to the VBK Web site and governs data collection and usage. By using the VBK website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

COLLECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

VBK collects personally identifiable information, such as your e-mail address, name, organization name, work address or telephone number. VBK also collects anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your ZIP code.

There is also information about your computer hardware and software that is automatically collected by VBK. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring Web site addresses. This information is used by VBK for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the VBK Web site.

We retain information indefinitely.

VBK has no public message boards.

VBK encourages you to review the privacy statements of Web sites you choose to link to from VBK (such as links to charities that might receive Valentine’s Day cards) so that you can understand how those Web sites collect, use and share your information. Our site is hosted by BlueHost which claims that they secure the personally identifiable information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure.
