Would you like Valentine's Day cards for your patients, clients, or staff, drawn by DC/MD/VA school students?
A Fun Student Project - Here is How It Works
I am a volunteer for Food & Friends. My project is to find local schools who will agree to make Valentine’s Day cards. I collect them and give them to Food & Friends’ clients. I will have many extra cards and I want to deliver them to hospital patients, nursing home residents, home nursing clients, and staff to cheer them up. Here is how it works:
- I send the school some envelopes.
- Each student makes an extra Valentine’s Day card for their new friend.
- The school sends me the stuffed envelopes.
- I deliver them to you so you can distribute them to your clients, patients, residents, or staff.
The students are happy because they shared some love. The teachers are happy because they taught a valuable lesson. The people who get the cards are VERY happy. Everyone is happy!
How to Sign Up To Receive Cards? - It's So Easy!
Just click below to let me know the name of your organization and how many envelopes to send to you at no cost to you. You will receive the cards before Valentine’s Day. Because sometimes we don’t get enough cards from the schools, this sign-up is first-come, first-served.
VERY IMPORTANT: If your staff or benefactors have school-age children, please ask them to personally reach out to schools to encourage them to participate in this project.
May I send you some Valentine’s Day cards?
Who is Organizing This?
My name is Patrick Kaufmann and I am an eleventh-grader at the Washington International School in DC.
2025 is my fifth year on this project and I hope that the neighborhood schools will join me.
Will you join the fun?
